we've all heard the rumors ...

You know, about the supposed murder in the forbidden forest? Oh, cummon, just because the staff is trying to keep the whole thing "under wraps" doesn't mean we can't bloody well talk about it, right? So, according to the hushed rumors slowly spreading around the school, a body was found in the forbidden forest, and a freshly dead one at that. Now, I'm not sure about whom this victim could be, but I do know that she was female, and a student. And I also know a few other things.

A Gryffindor girl by the name of Ashelin Messner was spotted making her way into the forbidden forest a few nights ago, for who knows what reason. A certain CM had been assigned rounds outside, and who knows why he didn't escort the girl out of the dangerous woods immediately. No one knows what happened in the wood, no one but Ashelin and CM. No, not even the aurors sent by the Ministry have found out what went oh so wrong on that fateful night.

But I am almost certain that only one of these two students left the forest that very same night. Guess who, will you? CM. Exactly. And Ashelin Messner has been missing for quite some time--ever since the incident in the forest. Did she just transfer out at such a coincidental time ... or is she..? No, I won't say more. I'm sure you all are smart enough to put two and two together.

So, what exactly happened in the woods? Was CM involved in this murder? Is Ashelin the one who was killed? And what about the "mark" that was apparently carved into one of the trees--according to a professor. Hm.. intriguing, isn't it? Watch your back, I do believe there's a murderer in our midst...
