welcome to the wizarding world. it has been ten years since voldemort fell at the hands of harry potter, and things have finally gotten back to normal. but that is just on the surface. something evil is brewing, and while the magical population has not quite realized it yet, it is there. but for now, everyone is playing hide and seek.

dear someone...


boredom rots your brain from the inside out,
how are you doing? i am, if you have not been
able to figure it out, bored like no end. and so, here
i am writing to a stranger for all i know. any who, i’m
sorry if you busy. i am, or well am suppose to be since i
am in class. history of magic to be exact, and who knows if
the freakin’ professor will end his never-ending chatter to notice
how everyone is half-asleep or snoring their brains out. meh, not my
problem. what class are you in? is it at all interesting, unlike mine at the
moment. hope it is, cause then well our conversation will come to end. if not
i am here to listen. after all, you listened to what may seem like a never-ending
chatter. haha sooo sorry by the way. any who, reply if you’d like. up to you. toodles.

oh hey Skye,
Hah, I'm sorry. That's a bummer. I never liked History of Magic either. I wish they permitted muggle electronics during lectures. It'd be so much easier to tape record boring lectures like that and play them back later and just... I don't know. Take a nap or let your mind wander or something. I suppose that may not be the best course of action either though... seeing as we'll have N.E.W.T.S. at the end of the year. Are you expecting to get one in that class?

I'm in Ancient Runes with Prof. Babbling. She's way more animated than Binns, but I swear she talks a mile a minute... taking notes is so impossible in this class. Come to think of it, I could use a recorder in here just so I could understand what she's saying more than half the time. I learn more just reading the textbook. I like Runes, though. So much meaning wrapped up in a single glyph, and yet the interpretation is left to us hundreds of years after it has been created. It's interesting to me.

Today she's running off at the mouth at light speed, though, so I think I'll opt to just read the material in-depth later. The ball's in a couple weeks, isn't it? Have you thought as what you want to dress up as? I've been mulling over a few options. Queen of Hearts, mermaid, can-can dancer...

I still find it a little bit funny how I used to dress up as a witch for Halloween when I was a little kid... and now I am one. Have any favorite costumes as a kid? Just wondered.

Write me back if you didn't doze off.
